St. John’s food pantry is in need of plastic grocery bags. Please save them and put them in the box in the Narthex or give them to Elaine Hempel or the Church Office. Thanks

Bring food for St. Johns church, our church and Westchester Food Pantry. We also need personal products such as liquid soap for the Fisher House for Vets, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, shaving cream, lip gloss, etc. for the men and women at Hines VA Hospital and the women’s and children’s shelter. Boxes are in the back of the church for these items . Thanks, Your Mission Board

Get ready for Parish Fellowship’s Annual Christmas Extravaganza or oth-erwise known as “RAZZLE DAZZLE”. This popular event will be Sat-urday, December 8th , 11:30 for punch, lunch at 12:00 noon. This year’s entertainment will be brought to us by the “COWBOY CHOIR”, an acous-tic musical group who play old folk favorites, timeless standards, and rock classics. Their guitar, bass and violin provide the ideal backdrop for their voices that blend in perfect harmony. Our famous hodge podge soup will be served along with Lynae’s soon to be famous chicken soup! There will be salad with rolls, and of course a yummy dessert! All this for only $10. Tickets are for sale today and the next 3 Sundays in the Narthex. If you are able, please bring a non-perishable food item, to share with those less fortunate.

Caroling at Hines Hospital to the ECC (Extended long-term care) will be Saturday, December 8—6 p.m. meet here at the church. Pizza at Paul’s Pizza will follow!!

 

Caroling to our Shut Ins will be the next day, Sunday, December 9, meet here at 5 p.m. to make song and joy for some of our

members!!

 

Westchester Action Committee is hosting a Holiday Stop & Shop here in Fellowship Hall. The event will take place on Saturday No-vember 24th 10 am—4 pm. Westchester Food Pantry will be wrap-ping holiday gifts for donations. The Wet Nose Food Pantry will be collecting food and supplies for pets. Raffles. Please stop by to shop and support our small and home businesses.

 

SANTA'S TOY SHOP IS ARRIVING TO WCC!! Are you looking for a special simple way to spread the Christmas spirit? Help us this Christmas season to bring smiles to children with cancer. The Missions Team will be in the Narthex Nov. 25, December 2-23 and at the Fish Fry Dec 7 and Jan 4, to support The Treasure Chest Foundation for Pediatric Oncology. Santa’s Toy Shop has magically arrived here in the Narthex with Christ-mas helpers to help you purchase gifts for the children. Gift cards are available through MANNA to purchase for the older children. Many wonderful ways to bring smiles by shopping here in Santa’s Toy Shop! This is a super easy way to help the children with cancer during this Christmas season. It is always wonderful to share what we can with others.
